Are you an experienced machinist who thrives on precision and programming challenges? Join our growing team and operate state-of-the-art equipment in a clean, safety-first, and technically advanced shop. We're hiring a Horizontal Boring Mill / Boring Bar Machinist to take on complex parts using on of our Kuraki Horizontal Boring Mills.
Operate and program Horizontal Boring Mills using G-code and CAM software
Set up and run complex parts to tight tolerances
Load / unload parts and fixtures using cranes or by hand
Adjust programs and troubleshoot independently
Collaborate with your machine partner for efficiency and quality
Perform in-process inspections (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, etc.)
Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, well-oiled machine environment
Read and interpret CMM reports, blueprints, and setup sheets
Follow all 6S, ISO, and safety procedures
Take ownership of quality, scheduling, and machine readiness
2+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop setting
Proven experience with complex boring mill work and programming
Hands-on knowledge of CAM software and G-code programming
High School diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
Excellent mechanical aptitude and familiarity with advanced tools
Self-motivation and a commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
Day-shift hours with every Friday afternoon off
Minimal travel and overtime required
Temperature-controlled, 99% indoor work environment
Use of advanced machinery in a clean and organized facility
PPE provided : safety glasses, steel toes, gloves / face shield when needed
