Food Service Production Lead (part-time)

Summary of Position : Position has a variety of advanced cooking responsibilities in the Union Market, production kitchen and Lunda Center and follows State of Wisconsin health code standards to ensure a successful food service experience for our guests.

This is a non-benefit eligible part-time position (20-25 hrs / week), Monday-Friday.

Essential Functions

1. Maintain and uphold the College values of Learning, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, Student Success, Teamwork, Integrity, and Respect. Regular attendance is required.

2. Perform office function's which may include, but are not limited to : respond to internal / external customers and staff; create and modify documents, records, and reports using College standard software; maintain hard copy and / or electronic filing system; monitor inventory and budget information; schedule, coordinate, and prepare materials for meetings and / or appointments.

3. Complete all required College training and responsible for maintaining the skills necessary to complete the essential functions of the position as defined by the department.

4. Student Success is the cornerstone of Western's culture and the college may assign employees as needed to other areas or additional duties to foster this success.

5. Food Service Production - Supporting Action / Task May Include :

• Responsible for food service production in an advanced concept in the Union Market that requires presentation cooking in front of the customer.
• Follow all standard operating procedures as outlined by food services managers in regards to food production, serving, waste and inventory.
• Provide front-line customer service to all customers and guests of the College in a timely and friendly manner.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized front and back of house.
• Support Lunda Center catering events throughout the year based on event schedule.

Starting annual salary range based on education and experience : $17.50
