Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Infection Prevention for a contract position in San Luis Obispo, California. This role is vital for implementing and monitoring infection prevention strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations and best practices.
• Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Educate staff, patients, and families on infection prevention practices and protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control within the facility.
• Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Provide recommendations for improving infection control practices based on evidence-based guidelines.
