JOB SUMMARY :

  • We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support across two business units.
  • This is a fully on-site position based at our New Jersey distribution center, Monday through Friday, and it requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish.
  • The role will also support a remote population within our Retail Merchandising network.
  • The HR Generalist will be responsible for a wide range of functions, including talent acquisition, benefits administration, leave of absence management, HR reporting, training, and overall HR operations.
  • The ideal candidate brings proven HR experience in all these areas, along with the ability to balance both strategic initiatives and day-to-day support.
  • In this role, you will partner with Warehouse and Retail leaders in driving cultural and engagement initiatives, hiring and onboarding warehouse associates, and providing direct support to warehouse management to ensure a positive employee experience across the organization.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Recruitment and Staffing Collaborate with Regional and Distribution Center managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for all open positions.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to understand the needs of their department and any required job openings.
  • Collaborate with HR and TA team in the recruitment process from posting job openings to extending offers of employment.
  • Schedule and coordinate pre-employment drug tests and background verification, if necessary.
  • Create new-hire onboarding programs and deliver compelling new-hire orientations.
  • II.
  • Training and Development Ensure mandatory training and continuing education is complete and documented, including safety training, code of conduct and handbook training, anti-harassment training and certifications required.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, changes to regulations, new technology breakthroughs in HR, talent, and employment law.
  • III.   Benefits Administration Support all employee benefits programs, including health, retirement, leave of absence and wellness initiatives.
  • Educate employees on benefit options and facilitate annual Open Enrollment period.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • IV.   Employee Relations Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Manage all details and coordination of disciplinary discussions, terminations, and investigations.
  • Guide the leadership team on sensitive or complex matters and elevate to the appropriate staff when investigations are required.
  • Ensure professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the role.
  • Promote a positive workplace culture by addressing employee issues promptly and professionally.
  • Provide guidance and support in adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • V.  Onboarding and Orientation Develop and enhance the onboarding process to provide new hires with a seamless and engaging experience.
  • Ensure all required paperwork, training, and equipment provisioning are completed efficiently.
  • Coordinate introductions to key team members and departments.
  • VI.   Performance Management Assist in the development and implementation of performance appraisal processes.
  • Support managers in setting performance goals and conducting performance reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for employee development and training.
  • VII.   Compliance and Legal Matters Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to retail and warehouse operations.
  • Maintain employee records and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Assist in handling legal matters, such as employee disputes and disciplinary actions.
  • VIII.   HR Metrics and Reporting Collect, analyze, and report HR metrics to monitor workforce trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Use data to support strategic decision-making within the HR department.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bilingual in Spanish is required Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources with proven experience as an HR Generalist in merchandising and warehouse operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field, highly preferred.
  • Strong ability to multitask and remain calm in emergency situations Excellent conflict resolution skills, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to display integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times Strong knowledge of laws and regulations Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Proficient in HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) certification is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • SALARY :
