PMA & DER Engineer

Overview

Summary : Aerospace Repair Development Engineer is responsible for leading the design and delivery of new aviation products including, but not limited to the research and development, product design, testing, product quality control, and product support for the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform all engineering tasks required to bring new products into production including Research, design, development, testing, tooling, manufacturing, ongoing support for new and existing product lines.
• Communicate and work with all departments such as purchasing, sales, operations, quality, and customer service as needed in support of our products.
• Communicate with and provide necessary documentation to FAA personnel for product approval, customers, suppliers, and distributors as needed.
• Follow policies and procedures in the maintenance manuals, VSE Aviation Quality Assurance Manual, Engineering Manual, and Safety Manuals as required.
• Support product teams through the new product development process including, but not limited to, production specifications, design reviews, model development and associated drawings.
• Propose and make ongoing improvements to products, the associated production process and testing equipment as appropriate.
• Develop and propose new testing, design, manufacturing, and aviation product ideas.
• Other duties as assigned.
