An investment banking firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced professional to join their staff as their new Deferred Compensation Specialist. In this role, the qualified professional will support the global deferred compensation accounting function.
About the Opportunity :
Schedule : Monday to Friday
Hours : 9am to 5pm EST
Setting : Hybrid if local to NY but can also be fully remote
Responsibilities :
Assist in completion of monthly and quarterly deferred compensation expense calculations (including stock-based compensation, deferred cash compensation, and market / performance-based awards)
Assist in updating historical expense files to include additional information to improve reporting process
Assist in implementation of Anaplan system, including validation of computations and reporting
Assist in preparation of information to inform SEC and other global filings (proxy and other annual and quarterly reports)
Assist in enhancing and documenting deferred compensation-related procedures, policies and controls
Apply judgment regarding criticality of issues, escalation requirements and ensure ongoing documentation is updated as appropriate
Assist in the implementation of other systems (ie. Fidelity)
Assist with forecasting requests as needed
Qualifications :
4+ years of experience in Deferred Compensation and / or a related field
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting and / or Finance
Knowledge of US GAAP
Microsoft Excel proficient
Attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication skills
