Registered Nurse Supervisor – Recovery and Wellness Center

About the Role
The Registered Nurse Supervisor plays a key leadership role, overseeing nursing operations, medication management, and psychoeducation across residential and outpatient programs. This position ensures safe, high-quality patient care while guiding a dedicated team of nurses and allied health professionals in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day nursing operations, including medication administration and medical oversight for clients in addiction recovery programs.
- Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, pharmacy technicians, and medical assistants through coaching, direct observation, and team meetings.
- Conduct and review medical assessments for new and existing clients, referring to external providers as necessary.
- Monitor patients’ physical health needs, particularly those receiving ancillary withdrawal services.
- Develop and maintain weekly staff assignments and schedules.
- Initiate and implement client care plans, coordinate medical appointments, and ensure continuity of care.
- Facilitate medical case conferences and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address comprehensive client needs.
- Oversee completion of LOCATDR (Level of Care for Alcohol and Drug Treatment Referral) assessments for admissions.
- Support the Medical Director in ensuring regulatory compliance with OASAS, DOH, DEA, and Justice Center requirements.
- Conduct quality assurance audits, maintain nursing competency checklists, and support ongoing staff training.
- Participate in the on-call Nursing Supervisor rotation as required.
Required Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid New York State license2–5 years of supervisory experience , overseeing multiple nurses across varying shiftsAt least 1 year of experience working with substance use and / or dual-diagnosis populationsStrong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Relias, and electronic health record systemsAbility to multitask effectively and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of patient careSchedule
