We are looking for a skilled Plant Controller to lead financial operations at our client's manufacturing facility in Lafayette, Georgia area. This position plays a critical role in overseeing budgets, analyzing financial data, and partnering with plant and corporate management to ensure efficient and profitable operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, and process improvement to support decision-making and drive organizational success.
Responsibilities :
- Manage financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting across multiple locations.
- Collaborate with plant management to assess manufacturing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve profitability.
- Conduct detailed analyses of production costs, inventory levels, and material consumption.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to address operational challenges.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and adherence to corporate financial policies.
- Provide financial evaluations and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
- Support the implementation of best practices in financial processes and operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Controller or similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong expertise in cost accounting, cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software; experience with AS400 is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
- Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
- Familiarity with inventory controls and KPI reporting.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
