Assistant Restaurant & Pizzeria Manager
We are searching for a reliable, innovative Assistant Restaurant & Pizzeria Manager to supervise operations at our bustling restaurant and pizzeria. This role is perfect for someone passionate about hospitality, excellent food, and creating a smooth, profitable operation.
The Assistant Manager’s duties include scheduling shifts, balancing cash registers, overseeing payroll, and ensuring consistency in pizza quality and other menu items. You will also be responsible for maintaining proper stock of giant shake supplies, assisting with menu updates, and ensuring both the restaurant and pizzeria open and close seamlessly. Above all, you should provide exceptional guest service by addressing complaints and queries quickly and professionally.
A successful candidate will be proactive in reducing costs, improving profitability, and supporting the development of team members.
Key Responsibilities :
- Opening and closing the restaurant and pizzeria .
- Appointing, training, and mentoring new staff members.
- Scheduling shifts and assigning sections / tables to waitstaff.
- Monitoring pizza production to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to recipes.
- Supporting menu changes by coordinating with the culinary team and rolling out new offerings effectively.
- Maintaining inventory of key pizzeria items, including dough, toppings, and giant shake supplies.
- Resolving customer questions, complaints, and special requests promptly and courteously.
- Conducting payroll activities accurately and on time.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
- Purchasing ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as needed and sourcing better deals where possible.
- Recording all income and expenses and ensuring cash registers are balanced daily.
Requirements :
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.Previous supervisory experience, preferably within a restaurant or pizzeria environment.Intermediate accounting and arithmetic skills.Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.Excellent conflict resolution abilities.Attention to detail, especially in maintaining product quality and consistency.Innovative, trustworthy, and impartial.Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
