To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable professional to join our team as a Ramp Supervisor in our Ground Handling Department. The primary responsibility of the position is to manage the operational activities of the department in accordance with established policies and procedures.
The Ramp Supervisor will be responsible for :
- Providing oversight and direct on-the-job training for new hires and recurrent training for existing employees in all ramp functions
- Conducting briefs and distributing training materials / checklists to mentors
- Creating and coordinating schedules
- Providing hands-on assistance to the Training Department along with feedback to direct managers
- Approving employees for release to duty after completion of training programs
- Coaching and providing career development to the staff
- Correcting non-compliant behavior and imposing disciplinary action as required
- Understanding the corporate culture, policies, and goals, and taking measures to implement these into daily work routines
- Managing a staff of employees with varied duties
- Administrative duties, including daily / weekly / monthly reports
- Maximizing operational performance for the station by adjusting to changes in operational conditions and proactively solving problems
- Supervising, directing, and monitoring personnel in the completion of their duties and adjusting, as necessary, to ensure on-time performance and quality customer service
- Providing support when employee absence affects the operation

Current Piedmont employee with a minimum six months of serviceKnowledge of basic airport procedures and fundamental job requirements for gate and ramp agentsExtensive knowledge of QIK, SabreBachelor's Degree in Aviation, Business, or related fieldUse of computers and other office equipmentPhysical Requirements :
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairsHandling objects up to 70 poundsAssisting passengers with disabilities, including, but not limited to, pushing wheelchairsEmployment is contingent upon a valid driver's license and clear driving record, 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and drug screen as required. We also require proof of high school or GED completion. Minimum 18 years of age.

Starting Rate :
$17.00 / Hourly – 21.00 / Hourly (Based on locale and experience)
