MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN II
Job Summary
Performs multiple tasks relating to maintenance functions throughout the hospital and facilities' supported areas under limited supervision.
Job Responsibilities
- Performs maintenance rounds, preventative maintenance (PM) tasks, miscellaneous repairs, and other services, which may include minor electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and HVAC, related tasks.
- Performs jobs and conducts work activities associated with skilled tradesmen on construction / renovation projects.
- May perform multiple tasks related to maintaining the buildings walls, finishes, doors, casework, and ceilings.
- May apply, remove, mix, and match a variety of finish materials; prepares surfaces such as metal, wall board, and wood to receive finishes; prepares walls, ceilings, doors, and cabinetry to receive new finishes.
- May perform visual inspection of all surfaces to maintain a pro-active position regarding the condition of the physical plant.
- May work to ensure the security of persons and property and provide escorts to and from the facility.
- May conduct regular and thorough rounds ensuring integrity of secured areas and investigate and report all security related incidents.
- Works as a member of the in-house construction crew with overall responsibility for completion of multiple projects at various sites.

High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher required upon hireA minimum of 2 years' relevant experience requiredNo licensure / certification / registration requiredSkills and Attributes
