- Hours per Week : 36\n
- Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
- Float Requirement : May float to postpartum and labor & delivery units\n
- Patient Ratio : 1 : 3\n
- Orientation : 36 hours\n
- Estimated Weekly Salary : $2180 - $2340\n\nNICU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU RN experience required\n
- Active California Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of submission)\n
- Current BLS and NRP certifications (AHA required)\n
- Epic charting experience preferred\n
- Ability to complete required lab work within 3-5 days of signing\n
- Must be able to work every other weekend and float as needed\n
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills\n
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities\n\nNICU RN Responsibilities\n
- Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care to neonates in a Level III NICU\n
- Plan, coordinate, and prioritize care for routine and complex patient situations\n
- Serve as a liaison between nursing and medical staff to ensure collaborative patient care\n
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans\n
- Administer medications, treatments, and specialized NICU procedures\n
- Monitor and document patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition\n
- Educate and support families throughout the patient's stay\n
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with the healthcare team\n
