The National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR), an affiliate of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), is seeking a dedicated individual for the role of Business Development Associate - Operations. Together with the NAIC and the insurance industry, NIPR protects and serves insurance consumers. We are a licensing and compliance resource for insurance professionals, providing expertise, agile technical solutions, innovative tools, and data to support the changing needs of state regulators and the insurance industry. NIPR is based in Kansas City, Missouri. This is a full-time position which will allow a person to work remotely within the United States or hybrid in NIPR's physical office space in Kansas City, MO.
Position Overview :
The Business Development Associate - Operations is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and event support to ensure the efficient operation of the Business Development and Customer Experience leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support logistics for internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.
- Submit and track catering orders, vendor contracts, and supply deliveries.
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks for the Business Development leadership, and Customer Experience Managers, including scheduling, meeting coordination, and document preparation.
- Organize and distribute new client inquiries through Salesforce, ensuring accurate routing to the appropriate Account Manager.
- Maintain and monitor Salesforce queues and Account Manager dashboards, escalating issues as needed.
- Track and finalize Request for Service (RFS) documents and support the countersignature process.
- Maintain team documentation, templates, and training materials for Account Managers and Account Coordinators
- Support logistics for internal and external meetings, conferences, and events.
- Submit and track catering orders, vendor contracts, and supply deliveries.
- Handle recurring communications and distribution list management within NIPR CRM.
- Perform other administrative and operational duties as assigned.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, networking, etc.
- Establish professional relationships with key NIPR and NAIC personnel.
Skills and Experience :
Outstanding professional communication skills via email, phone, and in-person, with the ability to Must be highly motivated, results oriented, creative and possess strong business standards and integrity.Outstanding communication and organizational skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.Sound business decision-making skills with the ability to understand the "big picture" is essential.Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM systems preferred.Ability to follow-up with clients as needed via email, phone, video call or in person meetings.Excellent customer services skills.Enjoys coordination, logistics, and ensuring smooth execution of events and meetings.Expected to travel up to 35% in this role which includes traveling to new or existing customer events, internal events, training / seminars, and trade shows.Minimum Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and / or equivalent work experienceThree to five years of experience in account management supportOne or more years using a CRM.Intermediate level of expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Compensation :
Starting at $70,000 up to $83,000, commensurate with experience and education.This position is not eligible for commission compensation.Sponsorship :
