Manufacturing Engineer - Janus at Janus International is a role focused on planning and designing manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Focus on being a key contributor to one or more facets of varied projects with the skills and abilities reflective of professional training.
- Develop complete intermediate level work plans for small projects / sub projects / assignments, including expense / capital estimates and cost / benefit analysis.
- Manage capital equipment projects, input on machine design, vendor selection, and equipment design reviews.
- Communicate with vendors to coordinate quotes, prototypes, and production plans.
- Support a production line to achieve business metrics and work with supervisors and production staff to determine improvements.
- Work in a team environment to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aligned to lean manufacturing principles.
- Able to solve complex problems with practical solutions.
- Work with other functional areas on projects / assignments.
