Model Based Systems Engineer - Remote W / Travel (,, United States)

Insight Global is looking for a Model Based Systems Engineer to support a federal client based out of Warren, MI. This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering next generation combat vehicles. In this role, you will get exposure / support areas of manned & unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation. This role will require a secret clearance and Insight Global will process the ideal candidate for an interim clearance!

Pay range for this role is $45-70 / hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.

Process development and improvement management (CMMI) experience

o Capability Maturity Model Integrator

Experience with military systems

CISSP

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science discipline and minimum of 5 years of experience

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance

Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering such as SysML UML, DoDAF, UPDM

o Tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw

Experience architecting or using MBSE on a vehicle Data Bus to model or define vehicle interactions

Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures

Experience performing Functional Decomposition to develop new architectures

Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks).

Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems

Strong communication skills
