This Per Diem position is located in our Ambulatory Surgery Center in Rockville, MD. We are looking for candidates that have availability on both weekdays and weekends. Shifts vary between 5 : 45 am - 7 : 00 am until cases are done. Pay Range $38-46 / hour

How You'll Contribute :

We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the ASC RN is responsible for :

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education
