Job Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to support the development, optimization, and maintenance of a cloud-hosted infrastructure platform supporting healthcare program oversight and performance monitoring. This role will focus on infrastructure design, cloud operations, and data security for a multi-agency solution handling sensitive healthcare data. You will collaborate with backend developers, analysts, and data managers to ensure uptime, scalability, and secure operations of cloud-based systems.
Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure and services in a secure and scalable mannerSupport the deployment and hosting of applications and databases used for analytics and reportingImplement cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure availability and performanceManage user access, roles, and data security controls, including PHI / PII protectionAssist with DevOps practices, including automation of deployments, backups, and patchingCollaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot infrastructure issues and recommend improvementsEnsure systems meet compliance standards and follow industry best practices for healthcare and government environmentsQualifications :
5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar roleStrong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure servicesExpertise in virtual networking, load balancing, compute / storage services, and identity managementProficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates)Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI / CD pipeline toolsUnderstanding of data encryption, key management, and access control mechanismsExperience supporting cloud environments that host regulated data (e.g., HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST frameworks)Preferred :
Experience in state Medicaid, CHIP, or other public sector health programsExposure to enterprise data reporting tools, dashboards, or quality management platformsKnowledge of performance reporting standards such as HEDIS or CAHPSS2Tech is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
