Office of State Resources Income Division
The Income Division works closely with the State Mineral and Energy Board's (Board) audit section. This Division performs collection and accounting of revenue due the State from mineral leasing activity and production on State-owned lands and water bottoms on behalf of the Board.
To ensure that all revenues are properly classified, the Division enters the payor information on new and existing LUW codes (Lease, Unit, Well) into the SONRIS Program. The Division also generates and processes Payor Registers which are mailed to the various payors for verification of State Decimals.
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in accounting or auditing; OR six years of full-time experience in any field plus twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following : accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems; OR a bachelor's degree with twenty-four semester hours in one or a combination of the following : accounting, auditing, business, finance, management, economics, quantitative methods, or information systems; OR a bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR a bachelor's degree plus a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Government Audit Professional (CGAP) designation; OR an advanced degree in accounting, auditing, finance, business administration, management, economics, information systems, quantitative methods, or statistics; OR a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION : Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
LOCATION AND POSITION :
This position is located in the Income Division within the Office of State Resources in Baton Rouge, LA. This position performs highly responsible, professional auditing work involving the performance of complex audits in oil and gas company offices and / or other field locations. Work requires extensive knowledge of the oil and gas industry, the regulations governing this industry and the contractual obligations applicable to the specific company under audit. Work is performed independently, with general supervision received from an Auditor Supervisor or Audit Manager. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
