The Validation Engineer is responsible for conducting field tests on prototype agricultural and off-highway equipment. This role involves close collaboration with design engineering teams, machine users, and other stakeholders to ensure product performance, safety, and reliability. The engineer will also support lab testing, prototype updates, and customer machine evaluations.
Your Impact
- Conduct and manage field testing of prototype machines, including setup, monitoring, and detailed reporting of performance and reliability.
- Coordinate test logistics, including selecting suitable locations, working with cooperators, and ensuring safety compliance.
- Document and analyze data, including part failures, performance metrics, safety assessments, and using data logging equipment.
- Recommend design improvements based on test findings and share information on industry trends with engineering teams.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition and appearance and ensure security of equipment, with travel exceeding 50%.
Your Experience And Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field; equivalent technical experience may also be considered.Must have a clean driving record and be able to pass the Minnesota DOT physical.Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform field modifications independently or with guidance.Skilled in PC-based tools and data analysis software experience is desired.Hands-on experience in operating and testing agricultural or off-highway equipment, with a background or familiarity in agricultural.Your Compensation
This position will be paid within a range based on experience. This position is eligible for a bonus based on performance.
