Monitor website performance and implement optimizations for speed and efficiency. Ensure website security and compliance with best practices. Collaborate with UX / UI designers to create intuitive navigation and layout. Conduct A / B testing to improve conversion rates and user engagement. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the e-commerce platform. Provide ongoing support and training to staff as needed. Utilize tools like Google Analytics (GA) to track user behavior and sales performance. Generate reports to help inform marketing strategies and product offerings. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. 5+ years of hands-on software development experience. Proven track record as an e-commerce developer or in a similar role within agile development teams. Extensive experience designing and building modular, scalable distributed systems with considerations for Byzantine fault tolerance. Deep understanding of parallel processing, asynchronous communication, and system architectures optimized for eventual consistency. Skilled in performance analysis, identifying cost / performance trade-offs, and selecting optimal algorithms for scalable, high-performance applications. Proficient in front-end and back-end technologies, including CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Python, with hands-on experience in frameworks such as React and Angular. Hands-on experience with major e-commerce platforms like Shopify and Magento, as well as integration with various payment gateways. Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, particularly Lambda, RDS, CloudFront, and S3, as they relate to e-commerce infrastructure. Well-versed in SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies to enhance online visibility and conversion. Creative problem solver with a demonstrated ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. We’re currently seeking an eCommerce Web Developer to join our Headquarters team! The e-Commerce Web Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining mistercarwash.com to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Works closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to implement innovative solutions supporting a growing sales channel. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail along with strong organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and a focus on achieving business objectives through effective use of technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain e-commerce websites using platforms such as Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, or custom hybrid solutions.
