About the Roles :
We are hiring multiple EOC support roles to assist with planning, logistics, operations, finance, communications, and technical services during disaster response. Whether your background is in emergency management, public safety, or logistics, you can play a vital role in helping communities recover. Must have previous Parish-level or State-level EOC experience to apply.
During disaster response, local and state Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs) serve as the central hub for coordinating resources, making operational decisions, and communicating with field teams. EOCs often require surge support during large-scale events, particularly when activation extends for weeks. Staff roles include general ICS section support, technical specialists, planning documentation, and logistical coordination. Each position below has Incident Command System (ICS) training and / or Independent Study (IS) Program FEMA training that is required for each position.
1. EOC Planning Section Support : Develop and maintain Incident Action Plans (IAPs), Situation Reports (SITREPs), and other planning documentation. Track incident objectives, resources, and operational progress.

2. EOC Logistics Section Support : Process and track resource requests, manage staging areas, source supplies and equipment, and coordinate with vendors.

3. EOC Finance / Admin Section Support : Track costs, time, and procurement during EOC activations. Prepare FEMA-reimbursable documentation and maintain compliance with procurement standards.

4. EOC Operations Section Support : Coordinate and monitor field operations across public safety and emergency services. Track mission assignments and field deployments.

5. EOC Public Information Specialist : Manage public messaging, draft press releases, and maintain information dashboards and social media for the Joint Information Center (JIC).

6. EOC Technical Specialist (GIS / Data Visualization) : Create maps, conduct spatial analysis, and support planning with geospatial data products for incident management.
