Key Responsibilities

Cost Estimation :  Prepare and submit financial estimates and bid proposals for various commercial projects.

Budget Management :  Assess costs and prepare budgets, ensuring all financial considerations are accurate and comprehensive.

Client Communication :  Communicate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors regarding bids and contracts.

Risk Assessment :  Evaluate project risks and forecast potential cost overruns to mitigate financial exposure.

Record Keeping :  Maintain updated records of all estimates, budgets, and costs for future reference.

Cost Analysis :  Perform cost analysis and set benchmarks for project costs to ensure competitive bidding.

Contract Negotiation :  Negotiate contracts to reduce costs while maintaining quality standards.

Industry Awareness :  Stay informed about the latest industry trends and market rates to provide accurate estimates.

Qualifications

Experience :  Proven work experience as a Commercial Estimator, preferably in the construction industry.

Knowledge :  Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and costs.

Skills :  Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a detail-oriented approach to numerical data.

Additional Information

Education :  A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is often preferred.

Tools :  Proficiency in estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Excel, is typically required.
