Devops Engineer

We are seeking a skilled professional for a 6-month onsite opportunity in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have 6-8 years of relevant experience and possess a strong background in AWS services and DevOps practices. This role requires a proactive individual with a problem-solving mindset who can thrive in a fast-paced, Agile / Scrum environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize core AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.
• Demonstrate advanced networking knowledge, with hands-on experience in AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect setup, troubleshooting, and hybrid connectivity.
• Implement observability monitoring using Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry (OTEL) with proactive alerting and telemetry configuration.
• Automate infrastructure as code using Terraform, GitLab CICD, and Shell scripting.
• Understand container orchestration, particularly Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Perform security patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
• Develop and automate processes using Python or Bash for scripting and infrastructure tooling.
• Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
