Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineering Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be based out of Huntsville, AL.

What You'll Get To Do :

This is a functional home room (FHR) manager position, involving both the overall functional oversight and management of a Electrical Engineering group while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional / organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from current / existing tasking, or potential future tasking. Functional management involves, but is not limited to, organizational administrative activities and helping employees' performance and career development through guidance and training. Program responsibilities will be dependent upon programmatic technical work and may vary by individual.

The selected candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have a good track record as a motivated leader, an effective communicator, and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity, and the capability to innovate while challenging traditional ways of doing business. Demonstrated abilities to build diverse and inclusive teams with high levels of engagement, including mentoring and coaching, are a must. The candidate will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the directorate business areas as required to accomplish team and department goals.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9 / 80. The 9 / 80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range : $149,400.00 - $224,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
