We are partnering with a $100M, top-two manufacturer in the premium metal panel industry seeking a Plant Manager for its flagship Columbia City, IN facility with 50+ employees. As an ESOP, the company has built significant employee wealth. The ideal candidate brings a track record of transformative leadership, hands-on lean implementation, strong capacity planning expertise, and experience driving complex problem-solving.

Responsibilities :

  • Lead all aspects of tactical and strategic plant operations (production, safety, quality, purchasing & inventory management, and shipping and receiving).
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize processes.
  • Drive kaizen to improve safety, quality productivity, cost savings, and workforce engagement.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Create and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team.

Requirements :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing operations
  • Technical expertise in Lean manufacturing (Level-loading, Standardization, Kaizen, Quality at the Source, Just in Time) and tools (SMED, 5S, FMEA, Value Stream Mapping, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets
  • Experience in textiles manufacturing (preferred)
  • Knowledge of equipment design engineering methodology and collaboration in product development (preferred)
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
