Job Description
Position Summary The Self-Inspect Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning and preparing guest rooms to brand standards while also performing a final self-inspection to ensure quality and readiness. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, efficiency, and accountability to deliver an exceptional guest experience. This position reports to the Housekeeping Manager.

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities Clean and service guest rooms according to hotel and brand standards Perform a thorough self-inspection of each room to ensure readiness before marking it as clean Replace linens, towels, and amenities as needed Dust, vacuum, and sanitize all surfaces, including bathrooms and high-touch areas Report any maintenance issues, damage, or lost and found items promptly Replenish housekeeping carts and ensure supplies are stocked for daily use Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols Communicate effectively with the housekeeping team and supervisors Ensure timely completion of assigned room quotas Respect guest privacy and adhere to "Do Not Disturb" policies Uphold a positive and professional demeanor while representing the hotel Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements Must be over 18 years of age High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred Previous cleaning experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and safety protocols Familiarity with hotel brand standards for room cleanliness and presentation Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to self-inspect and ensure work meets or exceeds expectations Time management skills to complete assigned rooms efficiently Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong sense of responsibility and accountability Good communication skills to report issues or coordinate with team members Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and appropriately Dependability and strong work ethic Basic understanding of guest service principles Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy Ability to communicate in Spanish and English preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand or be on your feet, kneel and bend for extended periods of time Regularly work in adverse conditions and required to use protective equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials as well as an office environment and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces Must be able to frequently lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
