CNC Manufacturing Engineer - Philly

Job Description

• Develop and optimize CNC machining processes for multi-axis lathes and mills (Mazak, Okuma, Haas, etc.)
• Collaborate with CNC Programmers to ensure efficient G-code generation using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360)
• Design and validate custom tooling and fixturing for complex aerospace components
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time and scrap
• Troubleshoot machining issues and provide hands-on shop floor support
• Interpret engineering drawings using GD&T and ensure manufacturability
• Partner with quality to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions
• Participate in design reviews and provide DFM (Design for Manufacturability) feedback

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in a CNC machining or manufacturing engineering role
• Hands-on experience with high-precision parts for aerospace / defense applications
• Proficient in CAM software and understanding of CNC programming logic
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and machining best practices
• Experience with lean manufacturing, process documentation, and root cause analysis
