ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES – (ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY) The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that could be performed. • Assists in maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all the agency’s sites.
• Performs minor repairs of equipment, fixtures, and furniture.
• Repairs damage to walls, windows, doors, hardware, etc.
• Assists in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
• Drives agency vehicle on agency business, which may include commuting to work locations that might take up to several hours of travel time.
• Maintains a clean driving record as well as the currency of the driver’s license.
• Drives on agency business using personal vehicle; may be required to transport clients, equipment, protected health information (PHI), and / or confidential personnel or TPCP agency information.

TRAVEL : Between sites / suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM :

Completion of High School or G.E.D. Minimum two years’ experience working as a maintenance person with experience in construction and facility maintenance / repair, preferably in a social service setting; must be able to provide a clean DMV report.

LICENSES; CERTIFICATES; SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :

California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance / registration if driving; and,

Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old, excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport, inclusive of bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles.

Compensation : $23.00 -$25.00 hourly

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 30 PM.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Knowledge Of

Knowledge of methods, materials, chemicals, disinfectants, and equipment used in janitorial work.

Knowledge of related safety practices.

Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.

Ability To :

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, in addition to computer skills.

Ability to use and care for janitorial equipment and supplies.

Ability to follow written and oral directions.

Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.

Ability to patch, texture, and paint walls and doors.

Ability to be flexible and adaptable to any given situation.
