Responsibilities
The Design Layout Technology (DLT) manager will oversee a group of approximately 15 designers and engineers responsible for two different functions : Design Layout Technology, which performs circuit card placement, routing, and documentation; and Product Integrity Engineering, which is responsible for Interconnect Integrity, Materials Engineering, and Engineering Supplier Assessments. Responsibilities include the ability to oversee project execution, maintain staffing across multiple programs, monitor and improve design processes, provide internal and external collaboration to the Hardware Engineering organization, support new business proposals, as well as development of the staff. The DLT manager will have previous relevant experience in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or CCA Layout. The candidate should also be familiar with one or more of the other related disciplines, such as systems, software, and the above listed disciplines. The DLT manager will have developed strong communication and leadership skills in order to lead teams and represent the organization in support of all of the product areas including Infrared Countermeasures (IRCM), RF Electronic Warfare (RFEW) Systems, and Targeting & Surveillance Systems.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering / Physics and minimum 8 years relevant experience; or MS degree in Engineering / Physics with minimum 6 years relevant experience; or BS degree in other technical disciplines with related industry experience of 10 years or more
Demonstrated success in leading, collaborating, and developing cross functional teams on complex technical projects
Must have previous relevant experience in Electrical, Mechanical or CCA layout.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
An advanced degree in Engineering / Physics / Engineering Management
Product design, fabrication, and integration experience in high reliability military applications
Prior success in leading and developing a strong technical staff
Demonstrated interest in process improvement initiatives, including process metrics tracking and execution of process improvement / development projects
Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and individual contributors
