Agency HR Manager I
The Division HR Manager is responsible for delivering a full scope of human resources services for the Division of Parks and Recreation. This position reports to the Assistant HR Director for Divisions. This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule which currently requires a minimum of 2 8-hour days on-site per week. Teleworking agreements will be under the conditions of the state Teleworking Program Policy and the employer may end any teleworking arrangement at any time in the employer's sole discretion.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Providing technical and consultative services to clients in a variety of functional areas to include : policy interpretation, salary administration, recruitment / selection, benefits, time and leave, classification / job evaluation, employee relations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
- Supervising and acting as a business partner in the creation and implementation of HR initiatives.
- Planning and processing improvements supporting the business direction and human resources needs of the supported division(s).
- Managing and serving on project teams as assigned.
- Serve as HR Partner to the Division as a member of Executive leadership, supporting Division initiatives.
Position / Physical Requirements :
Typical work schedule is Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm, Flexible, Hybrid.Management prefers :
Strong knowledge of human resources principles and practices as an HR generalist or specialist in two or more of the core HR areas, such as salary administration, time and leave, recruitment / selection, benefits administration, organizational management and / or classification and compensation.Demonstrated experience with HR functions in the OSC Integrated HR -Payroll System.Proven ability to manage and direct HR Programs while motivating and supervising the work of HR professionals and / or technical specialists.Experience in analyzing problems and formulating recommendations and skill in negotiating resolutions to issues / concerns.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution AND at least 4 years of experience in human resources with some experience in an HR lead position; OR equivalent combination or education and experience.
