Responsibilities Position is in an acute care setting on a dedicated CT unit Work primarily involves CT imaging, including extremities, head, neck, vascular, cardiac, TAVR, and runoffs Heavy ER case volume, with approximately 60% of scans being emergency department studies Procedures include assisting with fluoro in IR cases, drain placements, liver and lung biopsies, cryoablation, and abscess drainage The department utilizes two Toshiba / Canon and Phillips scanners at one campus, with a third scanner at another Average workload is around 80 exams per day between two technologists Uses Cerner for charting and Change Healthcare PACS with Terarecon for cardiac studies 12-hour shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6 : 30 AM to 7 : 00 PM; block scheduling with potential for variable start times week-to-week No requirement to float between campuses or cover other departments Primary responsibilities include performing a wide variety of CT scans and assisting with intravenous therapies and interventional procedures Will periodically work independently after initial week(s) of orientation with support available as needed One week of department-specific orientation provided, including paired shifts with a preceptor Must demonstrate flexibility for variable shift start times; block schedule changes between weeks but not within weeks Weekend shifts are required as part of the regular schedule Scrubs of any professional color may be worn; will transition to a specific color code in October Radiation safety badge will be provided Holiday shifts are generally not required Radiologists are in-house 7 : 00 AM – 10 : 00 PM with call coverage after hours Candidates may not have been employed at a CommonSpirit facility within the past year Local candidate eligibility and pay rate determined by residence; driver’s license used for address verification Requirements Minimum of 1 year recent CT experience in an acute care setting Active ARRT and BLS certifications required Active state or compact (NLC) license required if applicable; pending licenses not accepted Experience with TAVR CT and the ability to start IVs are required Coronary CT experience is beneficial but not required Familiarity with Toshiba / Canon and Phillips CT scanners preferred Proficiency with Cerner, Change Healthcare PACS, and Terarecon for cardiac imaging is needed Must be able to provide copy of driver’s license for consideration Two professional references required, including one supervisor from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-623179.
