Marine Interdiction Specialist As a Marine Interdiction Specialist, you will work closely with an elite team of professionals to protect America's interests at sea.
You will monitor behavior patterns and activities of suspect individuals, vessels, or equipment believed to be involved in illicit activities.
You will analyze radar data to determine the most effective intercept strategy while tracking targets to a successful interdiction.
You will conduct searches of individuals, vessels, cargo, and baggage for prohibited items or contraband incidental to detention or arrest.
You will collect, refine, and analyze strategic and tactical intelligence to support interdiction operations.

A valid Merchant Mariner Credential is required for this role.
A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, may be substituted for experience.
Creditable law enforcement officer service under Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d) may be applied toward the maximum age requirement.

This role offers a competitive salary range of up to $96,116 per year based on qualifications for the GS-11 grade level.
