- Job Summary :
- Kindergarten teacher will guide young students through their first truly structured school experience that sets them on the path to elementary education.
Introduce students to basic academic instruction, exposing them to opportunities to develop their socialization skills and observing their behavior.
- Kindergarten teacher duties and responsibilities
- Introduce lessons that promote critical thinking skills and abstract concepts.
- Plan and implement activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children
- _Develop age-appropriate lesson plans for students with different abilities_.
- Teaching letter recognition, phonics, numbers and awareness of nature and science
- Teach students social skills, academic concepts, how to follow a schedule and how to comply with rules in individual and group settings to prepare for elementary education
- Make student observations regarding their strengths, abilities and areas of improvement, and report to parents and specialized educators if necessary for further testing and intervention
- Teach and enforce individualized classroom and playground, hallway and cafeteria rules for order and safety in the school
- Maintain classroom discipline

- Complete daily student attendance, enter grades, complete progress reports online
- Complete weekly quiz trackers for collecting data on students’ academic progress.
- Attend quarterly data meetings to discuss students’ academic data
- Talk to parents about their children’s progress
- Document parent teacher communication
- Attend weekly professional development trainings
- Qualifications

- At least 1-2 years of experience working with children
- Ability to work effectively with diverse staff, parents, and community members

- Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
- Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
