Join to apply for the Manufacturing Process Engineer role at American Honda Motor Company, Inc.
Job purpose : Design safe and efficient processes for Main Assembly and Sub-Assemblies for the AF Department. Use analytic tools and traditional industrial engineering methods to optimize production functions.
Responsibilities
- Use Maynard Operation Sequence Technique to develop balanced processes across the Assembly Frame manufacturing areas. Work to achieve Maximum Process Efficiency. Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques. Design processes that are simple and achieve Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Morale, Environment targets.
- Perform time estimates for process / line work, equipment loads, and develop operation standards for the Weld Department during development.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste within the process and improve efficiency. Apply 5S work methods, workstation design, and set best practices for production.
- Evaluate and implement ergonomic countermeasures to prevent associate injury.
- Maintain accurate AutoCAD department layout.
- Read parts drawings, specification notices, and 3D CATIA data.
Qualifications
Minimum Educational Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field or equivalent related experience.Minimum Experience : 0-2 years relevant experience.Other Job-Specific Skills : Excel VBA, Standard Time Evaluation, Workstation Design, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Customer Service, PDDA.Job Details
