We are seeking a Full-Time Service Writer for our Parts & Service Department to join the team at our Rapid City location.
Work hours are Monday through Friday during normal business hours and a rotating Saturday morning schedule.
Here’s what you’ll do :
- Develop a general understanding of the construction materials, tools, and equipment available in the store.
- Assist customers in locating products, check inventory availability, and accurately process sales transactions using the store's point-of-sale system. Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods efficiently.
- Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, assist them with product inquiries, provide recommendations based on their needs, and address any concerns or questions.
- Receive, inspect, and organize incoming merchandise shipments. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock replenishment is needed.
- Compiling work estimates and communicating them to customers.
- Refer to parts manuals online to identify the right part(s) for the make, model and year of product being serviced.
- Track incoming and outgoing parts and communicate effectively with team members and customers.
- Assist in keeping parts department, work area and store clean and organized.
- Monitor and report any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient store operations. Assist with tasks such as receiving deliveries, organizing promotional displays, and participating in inventory counts.
- Offer support and assistance to coworkers during peak periods or in their absence.

Rapid City store hours are Monday to Friday 7 : 00am-5 : 30pm and Saturdays 8 : 00-12 : 00pm.
