Job Title
Managing and maintaining configuration control processes and part attributes to ensure product integrity and compliance with engineering, manufacturing and quality standards. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to implement configuration changes, maintain documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Role and Responsibilities
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, planning, sourcing, suppliers) to align sourcing strategies with product configurations and part information management.
- Manages sourcing configuration data to ensure accurate financial forecasting, demand planning, and change management for sub-tier suppliers (T2, T3 and T4).
- Increases adoption of Sourcing Bill of Materials through stakeholder training and tool improvement
- Identifies and implements process improvements using FLIGHT DECK to enhance efficiency and data integrity.
- Supports audits and reviews related to sourcing configuration, part information management, and business needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 1 years sourcing, configurations, planning experience or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years sourcing, configurations, planning experienceNOTE : Military experience is equivalent to professional experience.Desired Qualifications
Co-op and / internships in Materials and Production Planning or similar rolesFamiliarity with configuration management or data managementAbility to read blueprints and mechanical drawingsExcellent communication and collaboration abilities.Strong oral and written skills.Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Attention to Detail : Ensuring accuracy in tracking and documenting product configurations and changes.Analytical Thinking : Ability to analyze complex data and processes to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.Problem-Solving : Proficiency in identifying and resolving issues related to configuration control and management.Compensation Grade
