Stevens Engineers & Constructors has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Business Development Manager for the Cleveland Operations Team. The ideal candidate will have business development experience in the industrial construction market.
The primary function of the Business Development Manager position is to develop long-term sustainable business opportunities in current and new markets by utilizing STEVENS business development strategies, marketing communication strategies, public relations, monitoring market activities and involvement in industry associations. This position should also maintain active, productive relationships with clients, strategic industry partners and the Cleveland Operations Team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive business development plans to achieve sales targets and expand the company's market share in the industrial construction sector.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
Conduct market research including monitoring of competitor activities, current and future business development opportunities, current and future client activities and other strategies as required to identify future projects that meet STEVENS core competencies.
Analyze and develop business opportunities that are consistent with the STEVENS strategic business development plans.
Work with the STEVENS Business Development Team and Operations Team to execute long-term sustainable business growth opportunities.
Build constructive working relationships with the STEVENS Management Team, clients and strategic construction industry partners.
Work closely with the estimating team.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and professional organizations to build relationships and promote the company's capabilities
Required Skills
Technical savvy of the industrial construction industry and STEVENS core competencies.
Excellent communication skills (e.g., listening, verbal, written and presentation).
Strong creative, strategic, analytical and organizational skills.
Demonstrate the ability to build trust and relationships with Clients and internal teammates and educate them on STEVENS capabilities.
Leadership skills required to take the lead on various projects and business development opportunities.
Strong social and time-management skills.
Must have the ability to develop an understanding of STEVENS target markets.
Must be self-motivated and goal oriented.
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
