Machine Operator - Fenton, MO
The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up and operating equipment needed to fold, match and insert multiple pieces of printed material into an envelope while maintaining high quality work in a high volume fast-paced environment. This associate will also be responsible for operating inserters that match and insert id cards to letters.
Available positions :
- 2nd shift - 2 pm - 10 pm
- 3rd shift - 10 pm - 6 am
Duties & Responsibilities :
Set up inserting equipment at the beginning of each job according to specifications provided on the job ticketSafely and efficiently operate the equipmentRecognizes when the output is not meeting job specification quality at the sourceTroubleshoots equipment problems and makes necessary adjustmentsCommunicates well with management and co-workersCompletes all paperwork accurately and in a timely mannerAccurately sorts all cards and mail to ensure proper orderNotifies Production Supervisor of any quality issues, spoilage or reprints that are requiredFollows all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accuratelyAbility to maintain published equipmentAbility and willingness to cross-train on various inserting equipmentFollows established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies & department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelinesOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent GED required2-3 years' experience in production print environment preferred but not requiredAble to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsMust have basic computer skills (data entry, etc.).Strong mechanical aptitude preferredPhysical Factors & Requirements :
Frequent bending and stoopingStand for long periods of timeAble to lift up to 50lbsReliable transportation to and from workUse standard office equipmentMust be able to maintain good attendanceMust be willing to work overtime as needed, significant overtime is required during busy periods
