Enhancement (Softscape) Crew Leader

LaRosa Landscape - Cedarburg, WI

Position Overview

LaRosa Landscape is seeking an experienced and motivated Enhancement Crew Leader to oversee our softscape installation. This full-time position requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of plant materials and installation techniques, and the ability to manage crew members while ensuring high-quality project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise an enhancement crew in the installation of trees, shrubs, perennials, and seasonal plantings
  • Plan and execute softscape projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to design specifications
  • Train and mentor crew members on proper planting techniques, plant care, and safety protocols
  • Coordinate with your supervisor to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met
  • Perform quality control inspections and troubleshoot installation issues
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper tool usage and safety compliance
  • Manage daily schedules and work assignments
  • Communicate project progress and any concerns to management
  • Assist with snow removal operations during winter months

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in landscape installation and maintenance
  • Previous crew leadership experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of plant materials, soil conditions, and installation best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and specifications
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Reliable and punctual with strong work ethic

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Horticulture degree or relevant certifications
  • Experience with irrigation systems
  • Knowledge of local plant varieties and growing conditions
  • Bilingual capabilities (English / Spanish) a plus
  • Snow removal equipment operation experience
