Department Overview

Our Applied Technology organization puts some of Motorola Solutions' brightest minds on unique, highly challenging projects. Based on decades of experience with our customers, we apply leading-edge technologies to support security and safety throughout the world. We engineer our products from start to finish and manufacture them in-house. We\'re known for low volume and high capability with focused specialization in areas including software-defined radios, advanced antenna solutions, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, signals intelligence and more. Job Description

Now, where do you come in?

You will be working on a small, multi-disciplinary team and you will be responsible for the design of receiver front ends, transmitters, and synthesizers for a variety of our advance public safety products. You will be working in an extremely collaborative environment, customizing our public safety solutions for our top government contracts.

Essentially, your engineering expertise will be used to directly impact our nation\'s public safety efforts.

Lastly, as I mentioned before, the environment you will be working in is extremely collaborative. You will work closely with other engineers (hardware, software, FPGA, mechanical) and you will have a hands-on role in product integration and testing. You will be involved in all phases of projects : requirements, system architecture, design, modeling, bench testing, and release to production.

What We're Looking For

• Detailed understanding of RF electronics and simulation tools.
• 5 + years experience in RF / Antenna Circuit Design.
• Embedded Systems and wireless communication experience.
• Discrete RF design experience required.
• Thorough understanding of RF test equipment and measurements.
• Understanding of Antennas - design, simulation tools and measurements preferred.
• Strong background in general electronics.
• Experience in telecommunications technologies preferred.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contracts. Some contracts may have higher-level clearance requirements.

Target Base Salary Range : $63,800 - $127,600 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
