Survey Technician
Survey Technician - Office Based - Civil Engineering - Land Development
Position Overview
The Survey Technician will support survey projects by conducting field surveys, preparing survey data, and assisting in the preparation of survey documents. The role is crucial for ensuring accuracy in property boundaries and facilitating compliance with local regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare boundary surveys and the associated metes and bounds descriptions.
- Prepare and maintain survey data, including property deeds and easements.
- Assist in the preparation of detailed survey maps and reports such as plats and construction stakeout plans.
- Prepare WSSC water and sewer asbuilt drawings, and WSSC easements.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely completion of survey tasks.
- Perform analysis of survey data and assist in the resolution of any discrepancies in measurements or documentation.
- Familiarity with surveying field procedures and equipment.
Qualifications
HS School Diploma or equivalent2+ years experience as a Survey Technician or in a similar role.Strong knowledge of property deeds, easements, and survey techniques.Familiarity with boundary surveys, metes and bounds, and ALTA / NSPS standards.Experience in preparing survey documents and conducting fieldwork.Ability to utilize survey equipment and technology effectively.Benefits
