Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare professional licensed as an LPN or LVN is required to provide dedicated one-on-one nursing care in an educational setting. This contract position involves working closely with a student who requires specialized medical support, including diabetic care and feeding management.
Location : St. Charles, IL
Responsibilities :
- Deliver personalized nursing care to a student requiring 1 : 1 support
- Administer approximately eight G-tube feedings daily
- Perform blood glucose monitoring using Blue Loop technology
- Manage insulin administration and carbohydrate counting to maintain optimal diabetic control
- Collaborate with educational and healthcare staff to ensure the student's health needs are met during school hours
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing interventions and observations
Qualifications :
Valid LPN or LVN licensure in the state of IllinoisExperience with pediatric nursing and specialized care techniquesProficiency in managing G-tube feedings and diabetic care, including glucose monitoring and insulin administrationFamiliarity with Blue Loop or similar diabetes management applications preferredStrong munication skills and ability to work collaboratively with school staff and healthcare providerspassionate, patient-focused approach with attention to detail in medication managementPerks and Benefits :
