Machine Operator
Wiman Corporation in Prescott, WIproduces high quality plastic filming for many big companies in industries such as healthcare, industrial, automotive, electrical. Wiman Corporation is hiring a Machine Operator in Prescott, WI. This person is responsible for the correct and safe handling of all production equipment under their care, correct packaging and assuring the quality of all products going into the packaging. Positions available on 2 nd & 3rd
- 2nd shift : 2pm – 10pm
- 3rd shift : 10pm – 6am
- Overtime as needed but is limited.
Pay Rate :
2nd shift - $20.00 + 1.25 shift differential3rd shift- $20.00 + 1.40 shift differentialResponsibilities
Operate the film line, downstream equipment and material handling equipment in a safe, correct manner.Change over resins and equipment efficiently to meet order specifications.Communicates to shift lead all quality problems or concerns.Adheres to all food safety standards and practices, including product facility and personal requirements as set by Wiman Corp.Operates forklift in a safe, correct manner.Prepares all paperwork correctly, legibly and within established timelines.Ensure quality control by inspecting all products according to company standards and procedures.Provides training to packagers and other operators as company and equipment changes, remaining current at all times.Maintains equipment and housekeeping standards.Attends all meetings when called.Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.Skills and Abilities
Minimum of 6 months previous machine operating experienceBilingual : Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)High school diploma or GED (preferred)Basic reading and writing skills in English.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Basic reading and mathematics skill level : ability to read a tape measure.Basic computer skills; familiar with keyboard, mouse and basic computer functionsCritical thinking and troubleshooting ability.Maintenance or mechanical background (preferred)Adherence to schedule and deadlines.Physical Requirements
Able to lift up to 70 lbs.Able to stand the majority of the workday.Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.Other Requirements
