Job Description

As a Security Professional - Media Patrol Shift in Columbus, OH , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and respond to security-related situations as they arise. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order at the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual or suspicious behavior, reporting findings according to site protocols.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and site staff to support a secure and welcoming environment.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment and communicate any concerns or hazards to the appropriate personnel.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
