Coordinator, Editorial Content
The Coordinator, Editorial Content supports the development of content across multiple platforms, with an emphasis on writing for web, digital, and print. The role regularly collaborates with meetings and marketing teams for a national oncology nonprofit organization client, the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC). Client‑facing activities include liaising with authors and subject‑matter experts in the healthcare field.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Participate in interdepartmental collaboration to understand and support the development of editorial deliverables, including ACCC’s journal, Oncology Issues; ACCC flagship meetings; the ACCCBuzz blog; the CANCER BUZZ podcast; the ACCC Innovator Award program; and the annual ACCC President’s Theme.
- Conduct interviews and write copy for ACCCBuzz and Oncology Issues.
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop robust social media content in support of all editorial deliverables by writing and reviewing copy, developing engaging digital assets, and ensuring message alignment with editorial voice and program goals.
- Support sponsored ACCC education projects by writing web copy, copy‑editing bios, developing podcast memos and show notes, writing education blogs, writing and reviewing newsletter content, and other tasks assigned by the Assistant Director, Editorial Content.
- Contribute to cross‑platform content strategy by brainstorming ways to optimize content, increase audience engagement, and track performance metrics to inform future promotional efforts.
- Support activities associated with ACCC flagship meetings as assigned.
- Ensure timely and accurate metadata (with descriptions) for content uploaded to the ACCC website.
- Ensure timely, accurate updating of contributing authors and other content creators in the Fonteva database.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or English.2–4 years of professional experience in editing, copyediting, proofreading, and fact‑checking.Proficiency with Office 365, including Teams.Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines and manage a diverse workload while producing high‑quality editorial copy.Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills.Team‑oriented and able to work independently.Some travel to regional / national meetings expected.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in oncology, healthcare, and / or medical technology.Familiarity with AMA Style.Experience writing and optimizing copy for social media.Familiarity with content management and learning management systems.Familiarity with Workfront.Compensation Range
$55,000 – $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for an annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role. The compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s educational background, skills, and professional experience.
