Tax Manager
This Tax Manager position within the Global Tax Accounting Group, located at the corporate headquarters, will involve key aspects of ASC 740 Income Taxes including FIN 48 Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes, with particular focus on U.S. tax provision and Close and Consolidation processes. Position requires accounting expertise, decision making ability, strong analytical skills and initiative.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage quarterly and year-end ASC 740 U.S. and consolidation processes
- Approve monthly reconciliations and tax-related journal entries (JE's and CJE's)
- Review quarterly and year-end consolidation schedules related to consolidated / parent company deferred taxes, taxes payable, and income tax provision
- Review ASC 740 implications of U.S. income tax provision (including return-to-provision true-up)
- Operate Sarbanes Oxley 404 tax controls and support related testing
- Approve schedules of actual and forecasted cash flow due to taxes
- Assist in preparing quarterly and annual income tax-related SEC filings
- Review quarterly variance analyses
- Initiate, develop and implement ASC 740 policies.
- Prepare and communicate quarterly close deliverables schedule
- Coordinate with the regional and corporate controller's staffs, technical accounting and SEC groups, tax return groups, and regional tax counsel
- Perform ASC 740 'accounting for income taxes' research and prepare technical papers
- Develop and present data to the leadership of the organization
Required
8+ years of relevant large public accounting firm or private industry experience, including ASC 740 Income Tax accounting experienceThe ability to prioritize assignments and manage workload within GAAP, statutory and internal deadlinesWell-developed computer and tax system skills. i.e., Experience with finance enterprise systems and tax provision / compliance systems (e.g., SAP, OneSource)Self-motivated, with strong interpersonal, team and partnering skillsPreferred
