Electrical and Instrumentation Technician 3rd Class - $3,500 Sign on Bonus!

Overview

WIN Waste Innovations is looking for an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician who is skilled, detail oriented, and self-motivated. The basic function of the E&I Technician is to install, troubleshoot, clean, inspect, calibrate, and maintain electrical, instrumentation, and distributive control equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assists with monitoring and maintaining facility equipment (with supervision) to ensure safe and efficient equipment and facility operation.
• Performs electrical preventive and repair maintenance procedures safely and professionally with adequate supervision in accordance with Federal and State Regulations, and Company Work Rules, Policies and Procedures.
• Initiates and completes work-orders and requisitions and documents all critical and or pertinent information on a routine basis by direction and with supervision / training.
• Responds and reports to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required with direct / remote assistance and / or supervision.
• Travels to other facilities within the Company when technical support is required.
• Takes proactive measures to address improvement opportunities.
• Performs lesser skilled duties when required or requested.
• Completes the Corporate and Plant Training Programs within the time frame prescribed.
• Identifies and effectively uses basic and precision measuring tools to calculate and determine lengths, surface areas, and volumes as necessary while performing maintenance tasks on a routine basis.
• Follows standard safety procedures, correct safety and environmental hazards, and reports them to the Shift Supervisor immediately. Reads, understands, and applies information such as lockout / tagout procedures, safety rules, job hazard analyses, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Works overtime.
• Works rotating shifts during outages or if requested.
• Communicates clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing; as well as communicates clearly whether using in-situ intercom system, two-way radio or face to face.
• Anticipates typical problems, identifies potential or recurring problems, and takes appropriate action with supervision / training. Troubleshoots equipment, diagnose problems and repair with supervision / training.
• Operates other equipment including, but not limited to, industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, co-workers and management.
