JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

Delta Utilities is seeking a Gas Service Technician who performs company field operations including manual labor and other duties necessary to accomplish the installation, repair, and maintenance of natural gas distribution facilities. Handles customer requests and represents the Company in the community.

Please Note : We are seeking someone who lives within a 35-mile radius of Broussard, LA to service our customers in those areas. This position will have up at least 50%-75% travel daily to our customer locations within our Louisiana work territory. There will be no "out of business area" travel. A company vehicle will be provided. This position also commutes to work from their home address. Meaning when you leave home to head to work, you report to the first order of the day. You would only need to report to our nearest work office location, as requested.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Initiates gas service and perform leak investigations and repairs.
• Locates gas lines.
• Reads gas meters.
• Conducts load surveys.
• Completes work orders in system for documentation.
• Serves as First Responder in emergency situations.
• Conducts Cathodic Protection system monitoring activities.
• Conducts odorization activities.
