Role : Outpatient Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Contract
Location : Carencia Arlington Office / Work-From-Home
Hours : Up to 40+ hours / week

General Description : Carencia Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions with an emphasis on the patient’s health goals. A commitment to an outcomes-oriented approach and improvement in the quality of life is a central theme of services performed. Carencia takes a robust Mind, Body, Lifestyle approach to treatment which may also include Alternatives to Medicine (CAM), such as recommending supplements and other health recommendations.
Primary Purpose : To assist patients in mental health and substance abuse wellness and prevention through psychiatric nursing practice, including but not limited to; psychopharmacology, education, and psychotherapy.

Attendance and Dependability : Reports to work and meetings promptly at assigned hours. Minimally cancels or reschedules patients due to absence or other obligations. Demonstrates reliability in fulfilling job responsibilities in both routine and complex job situations, meets deadlines for paperwork, is punctual, and maintains a dependable attendance record. Employee can be depended upon to complete work in a timely, accurate, and thorough manner. Employee can also be depended upon to adapt to changing work demands, be receptive to new ideas and procedures, and work effectively under pressure or in crisis situations
Communication and Contact : Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing with patients, colleagues, and other individuals inside and outside the company while maintaining confidentiality of all client related information. Educates and builds rapport with communities, industry leaders, current and potential referral sources, and other organizations that align with Carencia’s mission and vision. Looks for feedback from patients and others working with Carencia to elevate each person’s experiences and always evaluates for opportunities for improvement.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk or sit; use a keyboard and computer mouse; reach with hands and arms; balance, stoop, kneel, bend talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
