Broad Statement of Responsibilities : The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Psych NP) is a licensed practitioner responsible for managing mental health conditions and coordinating comprehensive psychiatric care for clients at All Points North. Working within State and Federal regulations and the standards of advanced nursing and psychiatric practice, the Psych NP provides patient-centered care through psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing evaluation of client progress. In this role, the Psych NP integrates evidence-based psychiatric care with medical oversight as needed, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to support holistic mental health and wellness.

• DEA license and eligibility to prescribe medications
• Experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation practices.
• BLS / CPR certification (required); ACLS preferred.
• Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) required.

Education : This position requires the following education and licensure :

Experience : This position requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Nurse Practitioner role preferred with substance abuse experience.

Special Skills & Knowledge : Candidates should have the following skills and attributes : must be able to work and communicate well with people; be adaptable, and accept changes quickly and easily; be willing to address conflict appropriately. Basic computer skills are required with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based products knowledge a bonus.
